Forty dogs came to the Ames Plantation to compete for the 1993 |
National Championship. Bad Weather and birds that wouldn't |
| cooperate set the tone for this years stake. A number of great |
| dogs made solid bids for the title but none came as close to |
| matching the Amesian standard as Quillen's Rising Star. Handling, |
| hunting and bird finding are what this Championship is all about and |
| Star proved to the judges she could meet the standard. |
